Discover the contrasts of La Paz, where Aymara traditions meet modern Andean life. Visit the lively Witches’ Market, filled with traditional remedies and ritual objects, before exploring the historic centre.

Continue to Valle de las Ánimas (Valley of the Souls), a dramatic landscape of towering rock spires and eroded formations overlooking the Andes. Finish with a ride on Mi Teleférico, enjoying spectacular aerial views across La Paz before returning to your hotel.

Set out from La Paz for a full-day adventure along Bolivia’s legendary Death Road, winding through dramatic Andean mountains, cloud forest and lush Yungas valleys.

Choose to experience the route by mountain bike or on foot, stopping along the way to enjoy waterfalls, tropical scenery and spectacular mountain views. After completing the adventure, return to La Paz in the evening.

Travel across the sweeping Altiplano to Copacabana, a colourful Andean town set on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. Explore the town and its famous basilica before taking a boat across the deep-blue waters to Isla del Sol, an island sacred in Inca tradition. Walk among ancient sites and traditional communities while enjoying magnificent views across the lake and the snow-capped Cordillera Real.

Leave Lake Titicaca and travel towards the dramatic Cordillera Real for a scenic journey to Huayna Potosí, one of Bolivia’s most striking snow-capped peaks. Explore the surrounding high-altitude landscapes and continue to Chuquini Lake, where mountain reflections, glacial scenery and the vast Andean wilderness create spectacular views. Return to La Paz later in the day.

Fly from La Paz to tropical Rurrenabaque and continue into the vast wetlands of the Bolivian Amazon. Spend two days exploring the Pampas by boat and on foot, travelling along winding rivers and open savannah in search of capybaras, monkeys, caimans, turtles and colourful birdlife. Stay overnight at a jungle lodge and wake to the sounds of the Amazon before returning to Rurrenabaque.

Leave the Amazon behind and travel via La Paz to Uyuni, a remote high-altitude town on the edge of the vast Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat. Once an important railway and mining hub, Uyuni is now the gateway to Bolivia’s extraordinary southwestern landscapes of endless salt, volcanoes and desert. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Cross the Salar de Uyuni by 4WD, exploring its vast salt plains and cactus-covered Incahuasi Island before continuing into Bolivia’s remote Altiplano. Journey through the Siloli Desert and Eduardo Avaroa Reserve, passing flamingo-filled lagoons, Laguna Colorada, volcanic landscapes and the Sol de Mañana geysers. After two nights in remote desert accommodation, continue past Laguna Verde and Licancabur Volcano, cross the Chilean border and finish the expedition in San Pedro de Atacama
