Travel from La Paz into the dramatic landscapes of Bolivia’s Cordillera Real on a private full-day tour to Huayna Potosí and Chuquini Lake. Journey along winding mountain roads surrounded by snow-capped peaks, glacial valleys and colourful high-altitude lagoons.

After pickup from your accommodation in La Paz or El Alto, head towards Milluni and stop at the historic Milluni Cemetery. Set beneath the mountains, this atmospheric site offers an insight into the mining communities that once shaped the region.
Continue to Milluni Lake, where the coloured water contrasts with the rugged Andean landscape. Nearby, stop at the Red Lagoon and admire another distinctive high-altitude setting surrounded by mineral-rich slopes and distant peaks.
Travel closer to Huayna Potosí, one of Bolivia’s most recognisable mountains, rising to 6,088 metres. From a scenic viewpoint, admire its snow-covered summit, glacier and the lake below while your guide shares information about the mountain and its well-known climbing routes.
The journey continues with a guided hike to Chuquini Lake. Follow a mountain trail through the open Andes, taking in wide views of the Cordillera Real along the way. Arrive at the peaceful lake and enjoy time to admire the surrounding peaks, take photographs, and relax in the quiet mountain landscape before returning to your hotel in La Paz.
