Explore the lakeside town of Copacabana and visit its famous basilica before boarding a boat across the deep-blue waters of Lake Titicaca. Continue to Isla del Sol, an island sacred in Inca tradition, where ancient sites, traditional communities and beautiful walking trails overlook the lake and distant Cordillera Real.

Enjoy time exploring the island with your guide before returning by boat to Copacabana and travelling back across the Altiplano to La Paz.

• This is a long full-day journey from La Paz with considerable driving time.

• Lake Titicaca is located at around 3,800 metres above sea level, so we recommend acclimatising in La Paz before taking this tour.

• Walking on Isla del Sol includes uneven paths and some uphill sections.

• Weather can change quickly at high altitude, so bring warm layers and sun protection.
